* Kirsi Kiviharju, harp solo

The combination of harp and vocals is not commenly used. The duo of Freund-Kiviharju has been successful for many years. Critics have been consistently impressed by Freund's soprano voice merging with the sound of Kiviharju's harp - this unique harmony leads the duo to be very enjoyable.

The program on the CD Hosanna in Excelsis! consists of the lesser known Finnish Christmas carols, joyful English ones as well as some rare French ones. There are also Christmas carols performed as harp solos. Most arrangements for the vocal Christmas carols and harp solos are made by the American harpists Linda Wood Rollo and Susann McDonald. These magnificent arrrangements are vital to the composition of the Christmas CD.

The CD was recorded by Mika Koivusalo in the Hämeenkylä church in Vantaa, Finland.
